Anthony Fauci diary entries set social media ablaze as critics mock, condemn behavior

Once-private diary entries written by Dr. Anthony Fauci have set social media ablaze with critics mocking the former White House COVID advisor’s fixation on emerging from the global pandemic as a celebrity and condemning his behavior.
Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee Chairman Rand Paul, R-Ky., made the diaries public as part of the committee’s ongoing oversight investigation. The journals chronicle Fauci’s day-to-day role during the COVID-19 crisis through conversations with President Donald Trump, governors and world leaders, while detailing his media appearances and personal observations.
While much of the mainstream media initially ignored the shocking diary entries, there was no shortage of backlash on X. Outkick founder Clay Travis urged his followers to read the diary, calling Fauci “one of the true villains of American history.”
ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN AND MS NOW IGNORE FAUCI DIARY ENTRIES THAT REVEAL FIXATION ON FAME DURING COVID
Grabien Media founder Tom Elliott, who spent hours digging into the diary, found that the word “award” was mentioned 80 times, “hero” appeared 49 times, “press” appeared a staggering 641 times and Fauci never wrote anything about “peer review,” “meta-analysis,” “risk-benefit,” “learning loss” or “mental health.”
Dana Loesch was stunned, calling the diary “one of the most infuriating things I’ve ever read.”
Piers Morgan added, “These diaries are very damning. Fauci comes across as a fame-hungry narcissist who regularly said different things in private about Covid to what he told the world publicly.”

Others put a spotlight on Fauci’s apparent love for the TV camera.
XX-XY founder Jennifer Sey unearthed an old Politico appearance in which Fauci simply read flattering tweets about himself.
“Hard hitting stuff here,” Sey snarked. “Could you kiss his butt anymore?”

Many comments were focused on Fauci’s relationship with CNN anchor Jake Tapper, who appeared to be the doctor’s closest media ally.
The diary release came days before Fauci is scheduled to testify before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee after being subpoenaed by Paul, who also took to X to lampoon the diary. The senator shared an AI-generated image of Fauci sitting on a bed while writing in a diary. In the background are posters and toys in a humorous attempt to suggest the doctor was like a self-obsessed teenager. Next to the image, Paul wrote: “What Anthony Fauci looked like every night when he wrote about how great he is in his diary.”
Fox News Digital reached out to Dr. Fauci and CNN for comment but did not immediately receive a response.
